Good quality light. On the 10 inch model there is metal insert for the main 1/4" threaded mount, and there is another one for additional accessories to be mounted inside of the ring. The clamp is very good quality, sturdy, metal construction, powerful spring. It's the same clamp actually for both 6 and 10 inch lights, more than sufficient even for the larger of two. Slight smell of rubber/plastic comes from the gripping "socks" on the clamps, but I hope it will waft away soon enough. LIght makes a good difference for picture quality and especially – for color balance, very much so when combined with a decent webcam (preferably something with C/CS lense mount). Overall – good, recommended. Thanks!

Good quality light. Just watch for the 1/4" thread – it's in plastic, there is no brass insert (10 inch model has metal insert). But if you thread it in carefully – no issues and it's pleanty of holding power – the device is very light, not much load on that thread. The clamp is very good quality, sturdy, metal construction, powerful spring. Same clamp actually for both 6 and 10 inch lights, more than sufficient even for the large one. The light makes a good difference for both picture quality (shadows on your face almost disappear) and white balance, especially when combined with a decent webcam (preferably something with C/CS lense mount).
